DAVIESS DRIVEN
The Daviess Driven campaign is an initiative of the Advance Daviess County Coalition - an initiative to show Indiana we’re ready for a new opportunity. We are #DaviessDriven.
As a community, we’re interested in a commitment from the decision-makers of the Mid-States Corridor, which will promote the most cost-effective routes while achieving the goals identified as part of the project:
We stand as a unified voice to welcome the Corridor as an economic engine for Daviess County, the region, and the State of Indiana.
|
The Mid-States Corridor is a direct implementation effort to move the needle on the three pillars of focus for the Coalition: Growth and Retention, Supply Chain Creation, and Quality of Place and Life. Daviess County is strongly positioned for this opportunity – particularly given the current economic conditions. In a time when fiscal decisions are even more important than before, the route through Daviess County is sound.
WHY DAVIESS COUNTY?
- The Mid-States Corridor, going through Daviess County, would further boost economic development in this region and create more opportunities for trans-national commerce.
- As a fiscally responsible state, Daviess County wants to make the most of Indiana’s current investment in the region and sheer proximity to I-69’s movement of goods and services capitalizes on Indiana’s investment.
- With I-69, the Mid-States Corridor going through Daviess County allows for all of Southern Indiana to connect with North America.
With Daviess County's unique position along the I-69 Corridor, the county can further capitalize on the state's investment in the project. We welcome the Corridor as an economic engine for Daviess County, the region, and the state of Indiana.
|
The state has already invested in I-69. Therefore, this further investment of $1.5 billion will improve regional transportation for the entirety of Southwest Indiana. By betting on Daviess County, we will give the state a return on their investment.
|
Daviess County's proven track record of accomplishing significant economic development objectives including the WestGate@Crane Certified Technology Park, landing the first Japanese FDI along the all new I-69 corridor, and more.
